New York- a lonely city?!

In a city with a population of over 8.5 milion (according to the NYC website) does someone even imagine that actually people in here are confronting with loneliness or anxiety or depression??? It is a sad fact that people can not handle to keep their relationships going because they don’t really have much time or simply because their days off don’t match their friends ‘ ones. The city is huge and is consuming everyone’s spare time commuting or trying to get from one place to another . However, the city looks full of joy and fun and people often get together but most likely with strangers or acquaintances than with their dear friends. Because when they really need someone … a shoulder to lean on, a hug …or just somebody to listen …well…nobody is there for them. Tough and very tough ! People from all races and creeds live in New York, and the different ethnic identities has led to a rich cultural diversity. With more and more people entering New York for jobs and other opportunities, this diversity is only going to grow (people from over 200 nationalities are part of NY) and they are giving New York a richer cultural identity than it already fosters.
Rich cultural identity and diversity …but empty lonely souls! I could not help but wonder : how it is even possible ?! It is incredible how sometimes from “the greatest city in the world” NY becomes the loneliest city … Hard to believe, isn’t it?What can one do to feel less alone in a such non-stop constant moving environment? We meet a lot of people , yes…but hardly know anyone very well. Everybody is rushing and being very busy doing their own things but still there are hopes…hopes which make you want to give up a little to gain a little …it is never impossible to keep your buddies close and build up deep and great relationships. Even in a huge city like New York. Stay connected to your friends and you will enjoy better every little thing that this great city has to offer! My point…
