My imaginary happy place

My imaginary happy place is blue water, golden sand, and clear sky. When I close my eyes dreaming of a soothing, relaxing place to project myself in, I always see this infinite blue water.

I don’t know if this preference came from the fact that I was born and raised in a city by the seaside, but I always find myself disconnect or down, when I am in a place with no water around. It could be a lake or even a pond, this is all I need to recharge. However, I always chose to live in a city with a beach nearby.

Either way, my imagination always comes in hand, and take me to my favorite place. I could meditate, or just daydream, the bottom line is, to allow myself to travel.

We are too anchored in this reality, getting frustrated or anxious for every little thing, and forgetting that life is not about materialistic goals. These will never make us happy, they are just illusions. In fact, we are passengers through this life. We have to get out and touch the grass, smell a flower, breath, pray, and hope. If you have an imaginary happy place, like I do, go there as often as possible. This is what I do: grabbing my beach chair, putting my sunglasses on, and indulging myself with a crystal clear blue water view.. I can even smell the salty air, feel the breeze, and hear the waves. The sun is shining and the life is great! That is all I need.

It sounds insane, but I don’t think it is. As a matter a fact, it is my way to keep myself sane. Zen mood. Good vibes only. Positive. Every day- a holiday. Everything to stay detached. That’s all.

Dream on.

  1. It is healthy to have your imaginary happy place .
And not only ; it may become your reality , it is what you allow your brain to see .
It is a therapy that does cost a penny but it brings you happyness .

  2. Indeed! You said it ! It could become your reality, you are absolutely right. Unfortunately, most of the people underestimate the power of their imagination. That is why we end up aiming for materialistic, yet superficial things, which at the end of the day, cannot make us happy.
